Lounge Opinions on 5G wireless internet, as opposed to the local cable

company?

We're on Spectrum for our internet. Decent company, no real complaints. We do get some random drops on occasion. It recovers in about a minute, but annoying when you're in the middle of something.. Speed is about 225 Down, 11 Up. Price is about $70 per month.

For Cell, we're with T mobile. We get a full bar 5G signal at the house, and I just checked on the T-Mobile site and we're eligible and in a coverage area (which makes sense since we're getting a strong signal at home). It would be $50 per month, so a nice savings.

How's reliability? Is the speed shared with all your neighbors, like cable can be? Or is that only a problem if there's some emergency that has EVERYONE on their cell phone in the area?

If you switched, pros and cons and how happy are you? Thanks.
